7. Regulation for Electronic Governor
The genset FDK Co. manufactured are equipped in engine with partly mechanical governor and partly electronic one. The power of both of them is quality and quantity guaranteed. This will bring the best convenience for the genset to accomplish the auto control functions such as auto paralleling control, etc.
Every engine with electronic governor of FDK Co. is all to be regulated, so customers do not have to perform this kind of process except after the future general maintenance or if some probable breakdown happens to the electronic governor.

A. Place switch “C1” to “On”, if something of drifted away while moving, place “C2” to „Off”.
B. If everything OK, place “C2” to “On”.
C. Turn the “Gain” and “Stability” to the intermediate.
D. Connect terminal “L” with “M” temporarily.
7.1 Regulation after the Electronic Governor‟s Start
While the engine is in the style of cold, regulate the fuel throttle draw bar suitably, the rotation speed is to be altered .Generally, the speed is at its speed around 1500 rpm. After a period of rotation of the genset till the water temperature rises progressively, the degree of throttle must be let down so as to keep its rotation at the speed of 1500±10 rpm. And this degree is exacting the rated rotation speed of the genset.
7.2 On the genset instrument panel is installed a frequency meter. In general, if any meter of rotation speed is not installed, the rotation speed can be calculated as the following formula:
Tachometer “n”= F × 60/p
(“P” ----synchronous genset pole logarithm, e.g. 4-pole genset “P” is 2.)
If frequency “F” is 50Hz, the genset tachometer is:
50 × 60/2=1500 rpm
8. Movement of Paralleling Diesel Gensets
Paralleling mode is available to increase the output power of genset, decrease the total investment amount and improve the reliability of power supply and economical efficiency. The power between two the paralleling gensets must have no wide gap between each other, with its ordinary proportion of not more than 3 to 1.
All the specifications and types of FDK diesel gensets can accomplish paralleling movement, which is able to be operated by either manual or automatic mode.
8.1 Manual ATS (Paralleling System cabinet)
(Generally manual mode is not recommended to apply.)
All the paralleling mode diesel gensets are required to be in the same voltage, frequency and phrases. In order to guarantee the above mentioned conditions, before paralleling, single genset specific property must be tested, i.e. the examination for the special property of the genset regulation and output (load of power), so as to make the special property of the paralleling gensets showing no difference. (FDK will perform modulation according to customers‟ requirements before the products‟ leaving the factory.)
8.1.1 Chiaroscuro with Lamplights (see Picture 10):

This is the commonest way to accomplish the process of paralleling:
A. Firstly watch the frequency meter of the chief genset and the standby paralleling one, in which the indication data must show no difference. (While operating, the frequency of its para-synchronous rotation speed is 49.5 Hz.)
B. Secondly watch the voltage of the two. If the chief genset is loading the paralleling voltage is to be regulated according to its power of loading until its power is some 5 to 10v higher than the chief one.
C. If the genset newly installed, phase indicator must be ready for testing the definite of the phrases of both gensets which are requested to show no difference.
8.1.2 Synchronous Meter
There installed 3 degrees on the indicator: Fast----Synchronous-----Slow. While “Fast” is shown, the speed and frequency of paralleling genset is higher than the chief one (Frequency of electrified wire netting). At the moment, the speed of the ready one must be reduced; while “Slow”, it means the speed and frequency of the ready one is lower than the chief, then acceleration is required. And while the needle points to “Synchronous”, the chance to merge the brake (paralleling) has then come!
Though manual paralleling equipment is single, it requires the operator to be decisive, prompt and some practical, because the speed of manual paralleling is of utmost importance for anyone to catch the instantaneous time of the two single synchronous electricity supply nettings!
8.2 Auto ATS (Paralleling System Cabinet)
The auto ATS FDK manufactured adopts SYC6714 synchronizer and LSM672 loading distributor produced by American GAC Inc. Accordingly this auto ATS can totally perform the auto identical frequency and phase between the chief genset and the ready one, as well as the auto loading distribution according to the rated volume of the paralleling genset, etc. Applying together with the electronic governor GAC manufactured, the ATS automatically makes no difference betweenthe chief genset and the ready one, and automatically follows the tracks of its phases. As soon as the SYC 6714 triode with green light comes to flash, merge the brake any moment, then voltage of the chief genset and the ready one will show identical and unlashed. Therefore operators can easily handle it well. Whether by air switch or electromagnetism, it can bring about steady paralleling. When necessary, the system can be regulated to the mode of unmanned control, i.e. SYC 6714 Synchronizer. When the ready genset and the chief one (electronic netting) are identical and accords with the 4 conditions of paralleling, the diode with green light synchronously place an order of paralleling and immediately the ready genset automatically merges the brake.
